Oof! I had an Amerixican Carb Bomb for lunch today and boy am I feeling it. I am a salty, spicy, cheesy mess wrapped in low-end designer attire. You'd think I'd learn my lesson but I swear Chipotle puts food crack in their grub to ensure repeat clientele (s**t, can they sue me for that?).
Anyway, yesterday I ran 5.6 miles to the accompaniment of Jeff Galloway. I ran the inner hill and then the reverse loop. The day before I ran a quick 3.2 and then did 45 minutes of a weight training routine with the help of a Podfitness training program. Galloway is cool but this Bobby Strum (Stern?) is kicking my boo-tay into shape. I was sore yesterday. Even more so after 5.6 miles. And then the Sharks lost to the lousy Coyotes. (Really guys? C'mon. You're better than that.)
I like running the reverse loop because even though it is a longer uphill, the grade is not as steep for the most part. A flatter grade (is that an oxymoron??) (Oxymoron. Ha. Sounds like the punchline to a bad spanglish joke.) makes me feel like I can run further before easing into a walk. Especially with Galloway talking into my ear telling me that I only have 3 more minutes to go until my next welk break. Walking, for those of you who don't know, uses slightly different let muscles than running. I like it because it still moves you forward closer to your gaol. I mean, goal.
